Wood Fibre insulation boards utilise woods excellent natural ability to wick and harmlessly move water. As they are made from compacted recycled sawdust, their make-up provides incredible insulating properties, as well as benefitting from fantastic sound proofing capabilities.

There are no harmful chemicals in the boards, compared to modern petrochemical alternatives such as foil backed insulation.

Supplied in varying thicknesses, this allows you to insulate your walls without compromising on space. Wood Fibre Boards are the answer to breathable, efficient insulation, especially when it comes to insulation older properties.

Using a lime based, vapour permeable adhesive, the wood fibre boards are 'tiled' onto the background using a notched tiling trowel. This is then pressed against the wall, and allowed to dry before fixing with a mechanical fixing. These are thermally broken fixings allowing excellent heat retention. Using the Warmshell System from Lime Green, Wood Fibre Boards are plastered with Lime Green Solo's One Coat Lime Plaster. This is an excellent system for lime plastering over the boards, where a special mesh is placed between two 5mm thick coats of Solo lime plaster. This offers excellent crack resistance, as well as allows the lime plaster to be finished in a variety of ways. Externally, the boards can be finished with a range of external lime renders from Lime Green as well.  Other top coat finishes are available as well.
